Our Story

Little Tech was founded in 2022 by Drs. Katie Day Good (Ph.D., Media, Technology & Society, Northwestern University) and Catherine Rathbun (Psy.D., Chicago School of Professional Psychology).

Katie is an Associate Professor of Strategic Communication at Miami University, Fulbright scholar, and award-winning educator and author who studies how we live and learn with technology. Catherine is a Clinical Psychologist working in community health in Eureka, California. They are also lifelong friends and now moms to five awesome kids.

Katie and Catherine founded Little Tech to address a need for services in digital literacy education and support for people seeking screen/life balance at home, at work, and in their communities.

Drawing from a combined 15 years of experience in teaching critical media literacy and treating patients across the lifespan for mental and behavioral health, they designed and deliver Little Tech’s evidence-based curriculum and services.
